In August, the CEMC hosted an online conference that provided an opportunity for teachers to connect and learn from each other. The CEMC normally hosts three conferences for teachers in August: a Math teachers' conference in Winnipeg, a Computer Studies teachers' conference and a Math teachers' conference in Waterloo. This was a combination of all three normally scheduled conferences.
CEMC: Bringing Teachers Together Virtually ran sessions for grade 7 and 8 Math, grades 9-12 Math, and grades 9-12 Computer Science and/or Computer Technology.
The conference was held virtually through the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing and the University of Waterloo from August 18 - August 20.
The one hour long sessions were recorded. The Additional Materials are available through the link below. The schedule included sessions for grade 7 and 8 Math, grades 9-12 Math, and grades 9-12 Computer Science and/or Computer Technology. The majority of the sessions were presented by grade 7 - 12 teachers.
