Every August, the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) offers conferences for math educators that focus on curriculum, extensions and enrichment aimed at university preparation. The sessions on curriculum will focus on problem solving.
This three-day residential conference is divided into two programs based on the grades taught:
The conferences will be held in person at the University of Waterloo.
Participants arrive on campus on the evening of Monday, August 21 and can depart after lunch on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
Delegates may choose some sessions from either program.
Program details with session information will be updated in April 2023.
Registration will open early May and end early July.
Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. We anticipate that this popular event will be oversubscribed. It is better to register early as registration may close before the end of May, if the maximum number of participants is reached. Registration is restricted to two teachers per school until Thursday, June 15.
The registration fee is $250 for each participant. This includes any applicable taxes, meals and accommodation.
